As an Auti-coach, you guide children and/or young people with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their parents. You support them in their daily functioning with the aim of strengthening their independence, well-being, and social skills. You work closely with parents, teachers, and other care providers, offering practical tools to better manage difficulties associated with autism.
What you do
- Individual guidance for children and young people with ASD
- Support with social skills, emotional regulation
- Coaching of parents and and/or teachers
- Conducting observations in classroom or home settings
- Establishing and monitoring guidance goals
- Consultation with schools, CLB (Pupil Guidance Centers), and other involved care providers
- Reporting on the progress of the guidance
- Providing advice on approach, communication
- Optionally: giving lectures on autism
Profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a pedagogical, psychological, or social field
- Banaba or postgraduate degree in autism
- You enjoy working with children and parents
- Strong communication skills
- Patient, empathetic
- Ability to work independently
