Within a care organization, a day and night shelter offers a safe place for homeless people with complex problems to find peace and new perspectives. With attention, structure, and practical guidance, participants are helped step by step to regain control over their lives. You are an important stable factor.
What you will do.
- Provide individual guidance on social, emotional, and practical levels
- Organize and supervise group activities and day programs
- Detect tensions early and de-escalate situations calmly and tactfully
- Maintain an overview of the group and contribute to a stable living environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and external aid workers
- Work from a recovery-oriented care approach and contribute to a safe, stimulating environment where every resident is seen
- Report on care provided
- Support participants in their daily lives and in the step towards suitable housing, day activities
Profile
- A completed MBO 4 education in the field of care
- Affinity with and/or experience in working with people with psychiatric problems, addiction, or mild intellectual disability (LVB)
- Ability to act situationally, a sense of perspective, and a sense of humor
- Flexibility and willingness to work irregular shifts
- A stable personality and a calm, de-escalating attitude
- You are a Christian (Catholic, Protestant, or other) and can explain what this means to you
- Enthusiastic team player with an eye for both participants and colleagues
- Practical approach
- Affinity with animals is a plus

- A one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent contract
