As an Environmental Technology Researcher, you will work on innovative solutions for emission reduction and sustainable manure processing within a research institution. You will develop, research, and support technological applications that contribute to a circular and future-proof livestock sector. You will combine practice-oriented research with system analyses and work both in the laboratory and on-site at livestock farms and manure processing plants.
Additionally, you will use modeling and scenario analyses to assess the potential impact of new technologies.
What you will do.
- set up and conduct research into manure processing techniques, such as digestion, drying, and nutrient recovery from manure
- measure emissions of ammonia and greenhouse gases from manure storage and processing
- analyze and optimize environmental technology in livestock farming and advise on new development directions for this technology
- translate research results into practical applications for the sector and government
- collaborate with fellow researchers, companies, governments, and other stakeholders
- contribute to innovative projects in the field of circularity, energy, and sustainable agriculture
Profile
You are a proactive and results-oriented researcher who operates effectively both independently and in multidisciplinary teams. You actively contribute to scientific impact by sharing knowledge through publications, reports, and (international) conferences and symposia.
