A specialized company in the aviation industry, with over 75 years of experience and various international certifications, is looking for a Configuration & Logistics Officer. This company is a key player in the MRO network for advanced aircraft engines. The role aims to strengthen the Supply Chain Team and ensures that parts for a specific engine are available for assembly within the agreed configuration and timeframe with the customer.
What you do
- Analyze and provide logistical needs for engine completion.
- Read and understand the logistical aspects of the Bill of Work for the engine.
- Detect critical points in the completion process and find appropriate solutions (e.g., Standard Exchanges, switches between different engines).
- Direct internal suppliers (warehouse, backshop, subcontracting, purchasing).
- Complete modules and ensure they are prepared according to the predetermined production planning.
- Support the assembly line with missing and/or defective parts.
- Analyze the interchangeability (technical and qualitative) of parts, in accordance with the established configuration.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a technical field, or equivalent through experience.
- Interest in aircraft engines and a desire to learn more about them.
- Communicative, structured, accurate, and proactive.
- Analytical mindset and ability to devise practical solutions.
- Can independently organize, divide, and control work.
- Speaks French or Dutch, with good knowledge of technical English.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Belgium (EU passport or valid work & residence permit).
