As a nurse in the Neurosurgery & Short Stay department at a hospital, you maintain an overview, support colleagues, and remain involved in patient care. You coordinate the department during your shift and care for patients undergoing neurosurgical operations.
What you do
- Guide patients around their operation and monitor their recovery
- Perform various nursing procedures
- React quickly and use your clinical insight and experience when patient situations change
- Coordinate care on the department during your shift
- Be a point of contact for colleagues
- Liaise with doctors and other disciplines
- Supervise students and interns
- Identify bottlenecks and share your knowledge
- Help implement improvements in care and work processes
Profile
- BIG registered nurse with HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level
- Experience in a hospital environment
- Completed training as a senior nurse or willingness to follow it
- Ability to maintain an overview, set priorities, and take charge during your shift
- Coaching attitude to guide and support colleagues in their development
- Enjoys teamwork and contributes to a pleasant and professional work atmosphere
- Proactive attitude, eye for quality, and motivation to implement improvements
- Willingness to apply for a VOG (certificate of conduct)

- One-year contract with the intention of conversion to a permanent contract
