Policy Advisor Social Domain
You translate societal issues into policies that truly help residents and implementation. You work on policy challenges within the social domain and contribute to better support for residents. You will have the opportunity to work as a Policy Advisor Social Domain on assignments for local governments and public organizations. You will be employed by a consultancy firm or work based on a project contract.
From this basis, you will be deployed on secondment or interim assignments that match your experience, expertise, and development ambitions. This way, you combine the variety of working on different societal challenges with the security, guidance, and development opportunities of a committed employer.
What you will do. As a Policy Advisor Social Domain, you will work on policies within areas such as Wmo, Youth, Participation, Welfare, Social Base, prevention, or social support. You help local governments develop, improve, and implement policies. In doing so, you look not only at what is administratively or legally correct, but also at what works for residents, implementers, and cooperation partners.
You gather signals from practice, analyze developments, and translate them into clear and actionable policy proposals. You collaborate with policy advisors, implementation teams, contract managers, care and welfare partners, and regional partnerships. Your tasks will include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and further developing policy within the social domain
- Translating societal developments into local policy
- Advising management, administration, and cooperation partners
- Drafting policy notes, implementation frameworks, college proposals, and council proposals
- Contributing to transformation assignments such as prevention, appropriate support, and inclusive service provision
- Monitoring results, quality, and agreements with partners
- Improving processes and cooperation within the chain
- Participating in regional consultations, project groups, and policy processes
- Connecting policy, implementation, and social partners
- Ensuring that policy is actually implemented in practice
Profile
You believe that policy is only valuable if residents, implementers, and partners can benefit from it. You are analytical, socially engaged, and strong in communication. You understand that social policy requires substantive knowledge, a sense of implementation, and administrative sensitivity. You know how to bring different interests together and make complex issues concrete.

- A completed hbo or wo education, for example Social Work, Public Administration, SJD
- Experience or strong affinity with the social domain
- Knowledge of policy themes such as Wmo, Youth, Participation, Welfare, or Social Base
- Experience within a local government, public organization, care, or welfare organization
- Experience with drafting policy, implementation frameworks, notes, or administrative documents
- Analytical ability and a sense of administrative relations
- Good advisory and writing skills
- Experience with chain partners, care providers, or regional cooperation is a plus
- The motivation to further develop yourself within municipal policy assignments
