Come work in supported living and use your qualities and knowledge of autism to help clients progress in their recovery. The team offers guidance in various premises to clients with an autism spectrum disorder and often another psychiatric diagnosis. The emphasis is on regaining self-reliance, meaning, and restoring roles. The guidance is tailored to the individual, and the team has expertise in the field of autism. The support is strongly focused on participating in society and building a social safety net.
The location and the team are constantly developing to best meet the needs of clients.
What you will do. As a residential supervisor, you guide clients in their daily lives, supporting them in implementing the agreements made in the client's recovery plan. You do this by:
- Observing, signaling, and reporting. You take preventive measures to avoid escalation and focus on the client's possibilities
- Maintaining contact with the client's network where necessary
- Stimulating and motivating clients to undertake activities that contribute to their recovery process
- Being attentive to the client's living environment and supporting the client in maintaining it
- Providing frameworks within which the client can and may learn
- Working irregular (morning/evening/night) shifts at the location, guiding not only individual clients but also the group process
Profile
To perform the role of residential supervisor well, you are patient and strong in your communication. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment and actively contribute to the client's development. Furthermore, you possess:
- A completed MBO (intermediate vocational education) degree, such as nursing assistant (IG), nurse, or MMZ (Social Care)
- Affinity with psychiatry and autism
