Make a difference for children and families, every day. This role as a youth social worker focuses on strengthening families and offers a lot of variety and collaboration.
What you will do.
- You will work in a multidisciplinary team and be an important link in the lives of families needing temporary support.
- You will provide short-term assistance and, together with the family and their network, assess what is needed for them to become self-reliant again.
- The requests for help are as diverse as your workday, ranging from helping a child develop social skills to supporting parents with parenting issues.
- As a school contact person, you will collaborate with internal supervisors and hold office hours at school for parents and children.
- You will work in a solution-oriented and systemic manner, always with one goal in mind: increasing self-confidence, resilience, and independence.
- The team is part of a cooperative where various care providers offer their expertise in youth, mental health, intellectual disabilities, and finance.
- Weekly case consultations to link each care request to the appropriate helper.
Profile
- A higher professional education (HBO) diploma (e.g., Social Work, SPH, or Pedagogy).
- A valid SKJ registration.
- Affinity with youth, families, and parenting issues.
- Knowledge of and experience with education and general practitioners.
- Knowledge of and affinity with different cultures and multilingualism and/or a non-Western background is a valuable asset for this position.
- You are empathetic, ask the right questions, and quickly build trust.
- You easily switch between different situations and collaboration partners.
- You think in terms of solutions, prevention, and development.
