You will be responsible for the implementation and daily operation of asset management for port infrastructure, combined with the general management of the port's patrimony within an organization responsible for port infrastructure.
What you do
Asset management:
- Implement asset management within the organization
- Perform (or have performed) surveys, inspections, and detailed research programs and interpret the results
- Collect and map all information related to the port infrastructure
- Support management in developing cost-effective maintenance concepts, work packages, and work instructions
- Prepare specifications, quantity surveys
- Administrative and financial follow-up of asset management
- Consultation and negotiations with involved partners
- Functionally guide and coach asset management supervisors and drafters
Management:
- Acquire and monitor a general understanding of the condition of the patrimony within the port
- Patrimony maintenance: determine what is needed, plan priorities, and follow up on execution
- Propose and follow up on planning and cost aspects
- Communication and regular alignment with involved partners
- Functionally guide and coach the supervisors responsible for daily field follow-up
What they ask
- Master's level of work and thinking, with a degree in civil engineering
- Experience with or knowledge of asset management (management system) and inspection techniques, or willingness to acquire this expertise
- Knowledge of GIS and preferably AutoCAD
- Analytical and critical perspective, solution-oriented thinking and working ability
- Experience with project-based work and maintaining structure and overview in activities
- Strong communication skills and ability to persuade others, even in settings with conflicting interests
