You help residents of a care organization who are blind or visually impaired and have an intellectual disability to feel comfortable and at home.
- You support them with their daily care and activities and pay attention to their needs.
- You work in a small-scale residential group where 6 to 8 residents live per group.
- Each resident has their own character, possibilities, support needs, and way of making contact.
What you do
- Supporting residents with daily care (ADL), such as washing, dressing, and showering.
- Guiding residents through daily activities.
- Providing personal attention and ensuring a trusted, safe environment.
- Performing household tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and keeping the home tidy.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a pleasant day for the residents.
Profile
- You derive satisfaction from personal contact and enjoy making a difference for others.
- You are patient, committed, and have an eye for what someone needs.
- You understand that good care starts with attention and that it is important for residents to feel safe and at home.
What they ask
- Experience in a care organization, for example in disability care or elderly care, OR experience as an informal caregiver.
- Available for early and/or late shifts (start between 7:00 and 7:30 AM, end between 10:00 and 10:30 PM).
- Willingness to work on weekends.
Practical
- You can choose a permanent place in one of the residential groups or the variety of a flexible team, working in different homes.
- No night or sleep shifts.
