The Research and Business Intelligence (OBI) department of a large public organization is looking for a BI specialist with excellent communication skills and knowledge and experience of Cognos Analytics (v11) in combination with knowledge of financial and purchasing processes. You will work independently and have sufficient experience to achieve the desired result for the client, based on your T-shaped profile. You will carry out the assignment as part of a team, based on pre-defined requirements.
What you do
- Develop Cognos Analytics (v11) packages and reports for finance and purchasing.
- Perform analyses and translate new Oracle tables into Cognos reports.
- Prepare end-user and developer documentation for delivered deliverables.
- Collaborate with the team and transfer completed Cognos packages to the existing team of frontend specialists.
- Work according to the T-shaped profile and meet pre-defined requirements.
Profile
- Minimum HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level, demonstrable from previous work experience or diploma.
- Good command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken.
- Service-oriented, proactively seeking the best way to achieve the final result within the deadline.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Affinity with automated support of work processes and product testing.
- Insight and empathy into the interfaces between automating work processes, data quality, and delivering information provision products.
- Results-oriented and flexible in carrying out tasks.

- Minimum 10 years of work experience with BI processes in the role of BI specialist.
- Minimum 4 years of work experience with data warehouses, data marts, and data models gained in the past 5 years.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience with business analysis gained in the past 7 years.

- Minimum 5 years of work experience gained within a scrum/agile team in the past 8 years.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience with Cognos report studio, data module, and Framework manager gained in the past 7 years.
- Minimum 4 years of work experience with Cognos Analytics V11 gained in the past 5 years.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience with motio CI gained in the past 5 years.
- Minimum 6 months of work experience with Oracle Fusion.
