This assignment involves an executive position within a government organization. As a board member, you advise the CEO and fellow board members on the strategic direction and the challenges facing the organization. In consultation with the CEO, you influence the political and administrative leadership of the department.
What you do
The role includes the development of the multi-year strategy and the service delivery strategy. You are responsible for setting the framework for the execution of services and internal processes. You ensure that the strategy aligns with the national I-strategy. The CISO reports to this position. In addition to a framework-setting responsibility, there are two 'delivery functions': Security Operations Center services and AI development and services.
You are responsible for the following teams (approximately 85 people in total):
- Strategy, Planning (Portfolio Management)
- Enterprise Architecture CISO Office
- Security Operations Center
- AI Competence Center
- Data and Information Management
- Process Optimization and Monitoring
As CIO:
- You are responsible for drafting/evaluating the ICT IV strategy
- You bear the responsibility for ensuring the application of the frameworks of the national I-strategy
- You monitor the realization of the national I-objectives for business operations and oversee the coherence in information provision
- You set frameworks for ICT regarding architecture and standards and their further development
As CTO:
- You are responsible for drafting and maintaining an enterprise architecture
- You provide input to the national CIO for the national CIO council
- You advise the national CIO and colleagues within the government
- You represent the organization at national consultation bodies and proactively contribute to the further development of national IV
What they ask
- Academic working and thinking level with thorough knowledge and demonstrable experience in the broad ICT domain
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience with framework-setting and strategic activities within large IT organizations
- Extensive knowledge and experience in managing ICT organizations (preferably with a shared service character)
- Experience with government organizations is a significant advantage
- Ability to co-determine and initiate the direction of the organization
- Experience in realizing changes in a complex context and agile transformations in particular
