Residential Counselor
A care organization supports people with intellectual and/or psychological disabilities to lead as normal a life as possible. The focus is on what is possible, with collaboration between clients, their personal network, and professionals. The organization has over 200 locations in the Groningen and Drenthe regions. This specific residential location offers 24-hour care to adults with intellectual disabilities. Clients live as independently as possible in their own apartments and receive support with daily tasks.
Common areas are available for shared meals and activities. The location has three departments with different levels of guidance. You will have a fixed department as your home base, with the flexibility to assist in other departments.
What you do
- Provide appropriate guidance based on the care plan.
- Collaborate with colleagues, the client's network, and other healthcare professionals.
- Distribute medication and assist with ADL (Activities of Daily Living) tasks.
- Promote and safeguard the development of residents.
- Work in various shifts, including morning, evening, and sleeping shifts.
- Ensure a supportive and safe living environment.

- Work experience in a similar position.
