As a Consultant at a local support point, you are the first point of contact for residents with questions or concerns. You help them find suitable solutions by engaging in dialogue, providing information and advice, offering short-term support, and/or coordinating the right assistance. You work closely with colleagues and social partners and are available by phone, email, and during consultation hours at various locations.
You work with the resident to determine what is needed and what possibilities exist to strengthen self-reliance and participation.
What you will do.
- Act as the first point of contact for residents and support them in formulating their questions and finding suitable solutions
- Develop a plan with residents based on their needs, using techniques such as Positive Health and motivational interviewing
- Provide information, advice, and support for various social issues
- Coordinate with involved colleagues and social partners to organize appropriate support
- Participate in walk-in consultations and contribute to knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team
What they ask
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 7 years as a consultant, social worker, client manager, or similar role within the social domain
- Demonstrable work experience with question clarification, advising, and providing appropriate support to residents
- Demonstrable work experience in conducting conversations with residents about support needs in the areas of welfare, care, housing, finance, work, and/or participation
Preferences.
- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level, in the direction of Social Work (SPH, CMV, MWD), Pedagogy, or a comparable education
- Demonstrable work experience as a consultant within a public sector organization or social district team
- Demonstrable work experience in independently conducting advisory and support conversations with residents with various support needs
- Demonstrable work experience with methodologies such as Positive Health, motivational interviewing, or similar conversation techniques
