For one of our clients, a technology company, we are looking for a Software Tester. You will work within a development team on the modernization and further development of various applications. You will combine functional testing with test automation and will have ample opportunity to further professionalize the testing process.
What you will do. As a Software Tester, you will be involved in new developments from the start. You will analyze requirements, set up test scenarios, and ensure that new functionalities are delivered reliably and user-friendly. Your tasks will include:
- Analyzing functional and technical requirements.
- Translating user stories and acceptance criteria into test scenarios.
- Setting up and executing functional tests.
- Automating tests with Cypress.
- Executing and improving regression tests.
- Executing performance and load tests.
- Testing user-friendliness from the end-user's perspective.
- Registering, analyzing, and following up on bugs in JIRA.
- Collaborating with developers and Product Owners to resolve and retest findings.
- Contributing ideas for further automation and professionalization of the testing process.
You will work within an Agile/Scrum environment and have extensive contact with both developers and the users of the software.
Profile
You are analytical, precise, and curious about how software and business processes work. You are not only interested in discovering errors but primarily want to understand why something doesn't work and how it can be structurally improved. Additionally, you bring:
- HBO/WO (higher professional education/university) working and thinking level.
- Experience as a Software Tester or a technical background in software development.
- Knowledge of various testing methodologies, e.g., TMap.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Basic knowledge of HTML5 and CSS.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum.
- Interest in test automation.
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
Experience with Cypress, JIRA, regression testing, performance testing, or automated testing is a plus.
