Practice Assistant Clinical Psychology

For the Assistant Academic Staff of the Faculty of Psychology & Educational Sciences, Department of Psychology, an educational institution is looking for a practice assistant.
What you will do.
- Provide support for the learning pathway in the psychology program, as a member of the teaching team
- Facilitate reflection groups where students reflect on their own growth and learning process as clinical psychologists
- Support portfolio evaluations
- Conduct practical sessions related to clinical observation and interviewing
- Introduce, guide, and improve assignments for developmental psychology, educational psychology, and learning disabilities
- Take on a coordinating role for practical sessions in educational psychology and learning disabilities
- Conduct practical sessions on behavioral therapy, focusing on teaching clinical-therapeutic skills (e.g., functional analysis, treatment plan, exposure, cognitive techniques)
- Contribute to the implementation of a new community service learning module for psychological interviewing and interactional skills
- Conduct practical sessions on clinical interventions
- Collaborate on initiatives related to educational policy and implementation of the competency-oriented learning pathway (e.g., preparation and development of case material and teaching materials, support in skills labs and project weeks, feedback/evaluation of competency-oriented skills)
- Commit to the department and faculty, including participation in recruitment activities and meetings
- Contribute to creating external visibility for the department, faculty, and/or university
What they ask
- Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Orthopedagogy
- Team player, self-reliant
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical practice (required)
- Completed or ongoing psychotherapy training; behavioral therapy training is a strong recommendation
- Endorse the educational vision of the institution
- Language requirements: Teaching language (Dutch) at CEFR level C1. Administrative language (Dutch) at CEFR level B2 after a maximum of 5 years (integration trajectory possible)
- Meet the conditions for obtaining a valid permit and residence conditions for non-EEA nationals
