Policy Officer Culture

• Coordinating and implementing an implementation program for four program lines
• Policy-based execution of all tasks in the field of culture, including account management for the library, a theater, and other cultural partners, and guiding the development of local broadcasting into regional broadcasting
• Processing and assessing subsidies for various (innovative) cultural and recreational initiatives
• Drafting and realizing a municipal implementation plan in the context of the library law amendment and the resulting municipal duty of care
• Performing tasks within the P&C cycle and handling associated invoices
• Serving as a regional point of contact for official consultations and for collaboration within a culture and heritage pact
• Acting as a contact person for other questions in the field of art and culture

What they ask

• Minimum 3 years of experience within a (semi-)governmental organization as a policy officer
• Minimum 2 years of experience with coordinating and implementing municipal implementation programs within the socio-cultural domain
• Demonstrable experience with activities within the Planning & Control (P&C) cycle, such as contributing to budgets, annual accounts, reports, and invoice processing

Preferences.

• Demonstrable minimum 5 years of work experience with the integral coordination and realization of complex municipal or regional cultural programs with multiple program lines and stakeholders
• Demonstrable minimum 5 years of work experience with developing and implementing strategic cultural policy, including structural collaboration with institutions such as libraries, theaters, and local/regional broadcasters
• Demonstrable minimum 3 years of work experience with drafting, assessing, and monitoring innovative subsidy frameworks aimed at innovation, participation, and impact within the cultural domain
• Demonstrable minimum 3 years of work experience with representing a municipality in regional culture and heritage networks, including leading official consultations and connecting regional and local policy goals

• You collaborate intensively with internal and external partners, such as the library, a theater, cultural organizations, and the region, and act as a connecting link, also in public-private partnerships
• You coordinate multiple program lines simultaneously, manage processes around subsidies and the P&C cycle, and monitor progress and overview
• You have a feel for the cultural context and know how to interpret and utilize developments, interests, and opportunities within the cultural field
• You assess subsidy applications, write policy documents, and translate laws and regulations, such as the library law, into municipal implementation
