What you do
- Contribute to the acquisition of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) to enable military cyber operations
- Act as an important sensor in the intelligence process of military cyber operations
- Ensure that the intelligence needed to achieve operational goals is available
- Conduct in-depth research into publicly available information based on intelligence needs
- Be the point of contact and advisor for OSINT within your work environment and external representative
- Be responsible for acquiring, developing, and securing knowledge in the field of OSINT
What they ask
- Experience and knowledge in the field of OSINT, SOCMINT, and affinity with cyber
- Proficiency in conducting research in open sources
- Proficiency in applying research and analysis methods and techniques
- Proficiency in writing and presenting OSINT semi-finished and finished products
- Relevant HBO/WO education or equivalent work and thinking level
- Additional courses in the use of the internet, social media, and research with information providers
- Extensive experience with OSINT
- Extensive (technical) knowledge of online (social media) platforms and information sources
- Competencies: Analysis, Communication, Delegation, Judgment, Persuasion
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Dutch nationality and resided in the Netherlands for the past 10 years
Desired.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages
- Experience in the intelligence domain (e.g., with an intelligence service)
- Experience in the cyber domain
- Experience working in a joint environment
- Experience as an OSINT researcher within an intelligence service
- Knowledge of at least 1 other language (e.g., French, Spanish)
- Knowledge of a non-Western language (e.g., Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Farsi)
Practical
- A security screening is part of the selection procedure; Dutch nationality or a combined permit for residence and work (GVVA) is required
- An assessment may be part of the selection procedure
- The vacancy is published both internally and externally; internal candidates are processed first
- The organization is committed to employing individuals who fall under the target group of the Employment Participation Act
