Program Manager

For an organization within the energy sector, we are looking for a highly experienced Program Manager. In this strategic assignment, you will lead an organization-wide change initiative concerning the implementation of a new prioritization framework for the distribution of scarce grid capacity. The program is now in the realization phase. The approach is established, and the involved teams are set up.

The challenge lies in integrally connecting, accelerating, and managing a complex change landscape with significant societal impact.

What you will do. As a program manager, you are responsible for the integral management of the program and the realization of the intended results. Your tasks include:

  • Managing a multidisciplinary program where business, IT, operations, and external stakeholders come together.
  • Ensuring timely and successful implementation of the prioritization framework.
  • Monitoring and optimizing governance, decision-making, planning, dependencies, and program steering.
  • Managing necessary process and system changes.
  • Providing structure and direction within an environment with many stakeholders and parallel change initiatives.
  • Acting as a discussion partner for clients, steering committee, management, and executive board.
  • Setting up and monitoring effective risk management and timely escalation of bottlenecks.
  • Translating laws and regulations into practically implementable solutions within the organization.
  • Creating support and ensuring adoption and implementation within the line organization.
  • Steering on clear program goals, results, and progress reports.
  • Connecting internal and external stakeholders and bringing together diverse interests.

Profile

You are a heavyweight program manager accustomed to realizing complex changes at a strategic level within administratively complex organizations. Furthermore, you have:

  • University level of work and thinking.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading complex change programs.
  • Demonstrable experience with organizational change, process improvement, and IT transformation.
  • Experience with administratively complex environments and diverse stakeholder interests.
  • A proven track record in realizing organization-wide transformations.
  • Strong skills in governance, stakeholder management, decision-making, and risk control.
  • The ability to quickly build authority and trust at management, executive, and operational levels.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex matters into clear choices and decisions.

Preferences.

  • Experience within the energy or infrastructure sector.
  • Experience with legislation and regulation-driven change programs.
  • Experience within a grid management organization.
  • Certification such as MSP, PgMP, IPMA-B, or similar.
