As a Host or Hostess, you fulfill a versatile role in the daily lives of residents of a residential facility. You are a familiar face in the shared living space and contribute to a homely atmosphere. You support group activities in the living room, receive visitors, and are responsible for preparing fresh, healthy meals for approximately 37 residents.
What you will do.
- Ensure a pleasant and homely atmosphere in the common living area.
- Cook and serve meals for a large group of residents, taking into account dietary requirements and nutritional guidelines, including purchasing and management.
- Support group activities in the living room, together with care colleagues.
- Receive and address visitors and ensure a welcoming environment.
- Coordinate and perform household tasks, including cleaning and laundry care.
- Collaborate with residents on daily activities, such as cooking or small chores, and encourage independence.
- Signal any peculiarities in residents and report them back to the care team.
Profile
- You are social, warm, and have a genuine interest in people.
- You are a good listener and know how to motivate and stimulate residents.
- You enjoy cooking, know how to improvise, and work hygienically and organized.
- You are flexible and willing to work irregular shifts and weekend shifts.
- Minimum MBO Helpende plus diploma.
- Basic knowledge of dietetics and nutritional principles.
- Insight into safety, health and environmental regulations.
- You are a Christian (Christian, Catholic, Protestant) and can indicate what this means to you.
