A government organization is looking for an experienced communications officer to cover for a colleague on maternity leave. You will work with colleagues from multiple teams and focus on various communication and participation issues, particularly projects in public spaces. You will monitor the participation and communication policy and associated tools in consultation with specialists.
What you do
- Coordinate or organize the deployment of communication tools (videos, photos, texts for infographics, factsheets, website, social media, thematic meetings, and (digital) flyers)
- Write or edit texts
- Coordinate press inquiries
- Manage the digital team mailbox
- Support regular participation processes
- Monitor and discuss reactions on social media, in close collaboration with colleagues
Profile
- Creative and has a good sense of language and imagery (experience with B1 level)
- Enjoys a dynamic work environment
- Works structured, can prioritize well, is flexible, and can work on multiple topics simultaneously
- Can work well independently and collaboratively
- Easily switches communication styles to influence conversations and align with different interlocutors
- Quickly finds their way within an organization
- Hands-on mentality
- Proactive attitude and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
Desired skills.
- Experience with crisis communication and trained in this area
- Experience as a communications officer/advisor within a government organization
