QA and Test Automation Engineer

• Translate requirements, user stories, and functional risks into concrete test scenarios and verifiable test cases
• Design, set up, maintain, and develop automated functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests
• Full-stack testing of the digital facility, validating the coherence between the user interface, APIs/services, backend, and data streams
• Test important processes, including building and modifying permit information, decisions, publication, historical information, searching, peer review, and document export
• Set up positive and negative test scenarios for, among other things, roles and rights, data integrity, data visibility, concurrent editing, and recovery behavior
• Manage and improve the test framework, reusable test components, test data, and configuration of test environments
• Integrate, maintain, and execute automated tests within the CI/CD pipeline
• Analyze and structurally resolve failed and unstable automated tests, distinguishing between application errors and problems in test code, test data, or test environment
• Document findings reproducibly, support technical research, and perform retests
• Analyze and report test results, test coverage, findings
• Document the test automation solution and transfer knowledge to developers and other team members
• Carefully and securely manage and use test accounts, access data, and test data, ensuring that sensitive data is not included in test code or test reports

What they ask

• Minimum demonstrable HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level, obtained through education and/or relevant work experience within ICT
• Minimum 8 years of demonstrable work experience as a test engineer, test automator, QA engineer, or similar role in the development and testing of digital applications
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 6 years with independently designing, setting up from scratch, maintaining, and developing test automation for web applications, including reusable test structures and test components
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 6 years with developing and executing automated functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests, testing both user interfaces and underlying APIs and/or services
• Minimum 6 years of demonstrable work experience with Cypress for independently designing, developing, maintaining, and developing automated functional, integration, and end-to-end tests for web applications
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years with JavaScript and/or TypeScript for developing and maintaining test automation
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years with integrating and maintaining automated tests within CI/CD pipelines or a similar automated development street
• Minimum 1 year of demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years with functional testing and/or test automation of a digital application or facility for managing, processing, and making available digital permit information
• A VOG (Certificate of Conduct) from the candidate must be submitted via the tendering platform within four (4) weeks after final award
