You will play a key role within the IT audit practice of a government organization. As a Senior IT Auditor, you contribute to IT audits that make a difference for management, policy, and society. The Audit Department of this organization independently fulfills both an internal third-line and an external fourth-line audit role. You contribute to the realization of planned fourth-line audits and primarily fulfill a role in mandatory external accountability.
Additionally, you contribute to internal control through reports to the organization and its various divisions.
What you do
Your activities are mainly divided into the following objectives:
- Assurance investigations for IT-related laws and regulations;
- Research into IT control for the annual financial statement audit;
- Assessing the control of data processing.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Independently performing and coordinating small/simple IT audits with a small team;
- Providing substantive guidance to IT auditors and interns/trainees;
- Monitoring the progress of audits;
- Developing audit plans;
- Supporting Audit Managers with complex audits and developing work programs;
- Reporting and communicating audit findings to stakeholders;
- Preparing audit files and draft audit reports.
What they ask
- A completed HBO or WO education, preferably in IT, business administration, or information management;
- You have completed an IT auditing course accredited by NOREA (registration in the NOREA register as RE is a plus);
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience as an IT auditor, preferably with assurance assignments;
- You are a team player and are used to performing IT audits in a team;
- You can represent the IT audit team externally and are able to establish connections with the organization;
- You are able to coordinate and lead smaller audits or workflows with your own team;
- Demonstrated mastering of the Dutch language (at least C1 level) is a requirement.
Practical
- An assessment may be part of the selection procedure;
- Requesting references and consulting open digital sources may be part of the selection procedure;
- Upon appointment, a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and the presentation of original diplomas will be requested;
- Upon entering service, you will take the official oath.
