We are looking for an experienced Strategic Project Planner to support a large-scale offshore energy infrastructure programme. In this role, you will play a key part in project planning, scheduling, project controls and strategic analysis. You will work across complex infrastructure projects, helping project teams maintain transparency, predictability and control over schedules, milestones and delivery performance.
You will collaborate with project managers, contract managers, risk managers, project controls professionals, contractors and other stakeholders.
What you do
- Review and assess contractor programmes against contractual requirements.
- Monitor project progress and perform schedule deviation and variance analyses.
- Identify potential schedule impacts and support the development of mitigation and recovery measures.
- Evaluate contractor-reported schedule deviations and assess their impact on projects and the wider portfolio.
- Forecast potential schedule shifts and assess their impact on key delivery milestones.
- Support the preparation and substantiation of claim and delay-related documentation.
- Prepare periodic planning reports, KPI dashboards and schedule scenario analyses.
- Act as a key contact for planning and scheduling-related questions between contractors and project teams.
- Develop, visualise and report planning data using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of scheduling maturity and planning best practices.
- Support the continuous improvement of planning, scheduling and project-control methodologies.
- Deliver strategic schedule analyses and management reports for project and management decision-making.
- Support risk management activities by integrating planning information into project risk assessments and risk registers.
- Translate complex scheduling information into clear insights and recommendations for project and management teams.
What they ask
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Project Management or a comparable discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project scheduling and planning.
- Around 5 years of overall professional experience is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of practical experience with Oracle Primavera P6.
- Experience reviewing contractor schedules and programmes.
- Experience with project controls and schedule management in complex project environments.
- Practical experience with contractual schedules, delay analysis and/or claim-related matters.
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Experience within large-scale energy, infrastructure, engineering or construction projects is preferred.
- Experience with HVDC projects is a strong advantage.
- Must currently be living in the Netherlands.
- Willingness to travel when required.
