Someone who maintains an overview, sees opportunities, and mobilizes the right people. At an organization, we work every day on the energy transition. With about 150 colleagues, we manage a growing portfolio of sustainable heating and cooling installations for thousands of homes and buildings.
This requires Asset Managers Operations who look beyond today's malfunction and focus on tomorrow's performance.
What you do
As an Asset Manager Operations, you are responsible for the performance of your own portfolio of sustainable energy systems. You continuously monitor technical, energetic, and financial performance and ensure that contractual agreements are met. You are actively involved in issues within your portfolio. You analyze, bring the right colleagues together, and work collaboratively towards a solution. You maintain an overview and ensure that actions are taken and followed up. Specifically, this means:
- You manage the technical, energetic, and financial performance of your assets.
- You oversee technical, contractual, and financial risks and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
- You analyze deviations, investigate causes, and initiate improvement actions.
- You provide input for business cases and reinvestment proposals, substantiating with data and analyses why an asset needs attention sooner or later.
- You identify opportunities to improve processes and asset performance and know how to engage colleagues in this.
- You build knowledge of your portfolio, understanding where risks arise and which assets require extra attention. If something happens, you take the initiative. You bring the right people together, maintain an overview, and ensure actions are taken.
- You ensure a smooth handover of new assets to the management phase.
- You are the point of contact for business clients and homeowner associations (VvE's) for complex issues.
What they ask You don't need to be a mechanic. You also don't need to know every component of a WKO installation or heat pump by heart. However, you do understand how sustainable energy systems work, you see when something deviates, and you ask the necessary questions to get to the root of a problem. Additionally, you bring:
- A completed HBO or university education, preferably in a technical or business administration direction.
- Experience in asset management, operations management, or a comparable technical environment.
- Affinity with sustainable energy systems, mechanical installations, or heat pumps.
- An analytical perspective: you translate data into insights and concrete actions.
- Good communication skills: you easily switch between technicians, clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
- VCA VOL and GPI, or the willingness to obtain these certifications.
