You will work in a specialized department combining internal and surgical care, with a focus on both technical nursing procedures and patient-centered care. What you do
As a nurse, you will deal with both low and high-complexity care and a wide diversity of medical conditions.
- You will care for patients with gastrointestinal, liver, and biliary disorders, including tumors.
- You will provide basic nursing care, intensive, and palliative care, involving many technical nursing procedures.
- You will receive thorough onboarding, with the first few weeks planned above staffing to familiarize yourself with the department and patients.
- You will receive training in an electronic patient record system and relevant e-learnings.
- You will have additional enrichment days tailored to the specialisms, such as shadowing specialized nurses or in the operating room.
- You will receive good guidance from experienced colleagues for your professional development.
- Over time, you can participate in working groups and contribute to quality improvement and departmental policy.
- As an MBO-level nurse, there is an opportunity to follow an accelerated in-company HBO-V training program.
Profile
- An MBO or HBO nursing diploma with BIG registration.
- Some (internship) experience in a healthcare institution.
- Enthusiasm, empathy, and a sense of responsibility.
- Eager to learn and focused on continuous improvement of care.
