A steel construction company has its own drawing office where drawings for production and assembly are created and elaborated. The Tekla Drafter/Modeler is responsible for efficiently translating the client's steel structure drawings into production drawings and information using the 3D Tekla drawing program. Some work preparation tasks are also performed. There are opportunities for growth within this role.
What you will do.
- Create plan, detail, and overview drawings for production and assembly from the client's design drawings in the Tekla program.
- Coordinate information with the client where necessary (work preparation, etc.).
- Coordinate with the detailed structural engineer and internal production and assembly departments to make the design efficient to produce and assemble.
- Check whether requested adjustments still fall within the scope of the assignment and/or indicate/discuss the relevance of any additional work.
- Make preparations for production/assembly where relevant.
- Maintain contact with the Project Manager and your supervisor.
Profile
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience as a Tekla Drafter/Modeler; experience with steel structures for construction is an advantage.
- Minimum MBO level education (intermediate vocational education); a degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering is a plus.
- Good experience in creating detailed drawings in Tekla and affinity with software packages such as AutoCAD.
- Good command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken.
- Independent & proactive work attitude and results-oriented.
- Accurate, flexible, and possesses good communication skills.
- Senior Tekla Drafters with coordinating/supervisory and potential Engineering qualities to function as a working team leader are also invited to apply.
