Communication Team Leader
As Communication Team Leader, you will guide the communication of a social organization. You report directly to the regional director and are responsible for the communication team. In addition to yourself, the team consists of two communication advisors, an event coordinator, and a Business Market Relationship Manager. You ensure that strategy and execution are well connected.
You know what is happening within the organization, keep a close eye on developments in society and the media, and translate these into opportunities and clear communication. Together with the team, you develop and monitor the course for internal and external communication and ensure that it aligns with the organizational objectives.
You are an important advisor for management and colleagues and contribute to discussions on internal communication, external positioning, reputation, change and organizational issues, and visibility. At the same time, you remain close to daily practice. You are a working team member with a full communication portfolio of your own. You coach your team and monitor the progress of projects and the annual plan. There is ample room to develop your vision on communication and further shape it with the team.
What you will do.
- Lead the communication team and coach, inspire, and help employees develop. You ensure clear priorities, good cooperation, and a professional working method.
- Strategically advise on communication, positioning, and reputation and be a strong discussion partner for management and colleagues on important developments and issues.
- Coordinate public relations and media contacts, ensuring a clear and consistent message to journalists, partners, and other external parties.
- Initiate, execute, and manage communication projects and campaigns, from communication planning and internal communication to online communication, social media, labor market communication, and fundraising.
- Develop, monitor, and translate the internal and external communication strategy into concrete plans and activities. You identify developments inside and outside the organization, translate them into communication advice and opportunities, and pay attention to what employees, participants, partners, and other stakeholders need.
Profile
- HBO or university level of thinking and working, and at least five years of relevant experience in a strategic communication advisory role.
- Demonstrable experience with leadership and team development. You know how to inspire, coach, and connect people and create clarity, ownership, and collaboration.
- A strong strategic discussion partner for management and colleagues. You can weigh different interests well and translate organizational objectives into clear communication plans and concrete actions.
- Experience with public relations, press and media contacts, and reputation issues, advises management on these, and ensures a professional and consistent profile.
- Analytical, linguistically skilled, organizationally sensitive, and results-oriented. You easily switch between strategy and execution, enjoy working together, and are willing to perform on-call duties.
- You are a Christian (Catholic, Protestant, or otherwise) and can indicate what that means to you.
