You will work at a care facility with elderly people with an intellectual disability. You will combine care, guidance, and nursing technical actions in a varied role. You will build a bond with residents and their families.
What you will do.
- Guide and care for elderly clients with an intellectual disability
- Support with ADL care (washing, dressing, toileting, medication)
- Perform nursing technical actions within your competencies
- Support residents with conditions such as dementia, diabetes, epilepsy, and other age-related ailments
- Signal changes in health and well-being and liaise with colleagues or other disciplines as needed
- Collaborate with family members, doctors, therapists
- Contribute to a safe, warm, and homely living environment
- Work morning, evening, and weekend shifts
Profile
- Caregiver IG level 3 diploma
- Affinity with elderly care and people with intellectual disabilities
- Interest in topics such as dementia, epilepsy, diabetes, and medication safety
- A calm, positive, and stable attitude
- Ability to work independently and in a team
