As a fundraiser, you contribute to enabling families to be close to their seriously ill child during a hospital stay. Thanks to your relationships, initiatives, and fundraising activities, the organization can annually offer hundreds of families a temporary home right next to a children's hospital. You combine relationship management with fundraising and events and are given the space to take initiative independently.
What you do
- Maintaining and expanding relationships with companies, entrepreneurs, and other business partners
- Organizing new fundraising initiatives
- Organizing and guiding campaigns, meetings, and events, including a large annual event
- Building sustainable one-on-one relationships with sponsors
- Maintaining and further developing a Business Club
- Identifying opportunities and taking initiative to further strengthen fundraising
- Maintaining and expanding a relevant network
- Contributing to the visibility of the organization, including via LinkedIn
- Working with CRM systems and ensuring meticulous administration
- Contributing to shared tasks within the house, such as stepping in when needed and taking over colleagues' duties during absence
- Participating in on-call duty, approximately one weekend every five weeks
Profile
- HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- An entrepreneurial and results-oriented attitude
- Organizational talent and a sense of hospitality
- A flexible attitude: events do not always take place during office hours
- A strong sense of responsibility
- Affinity with fundraising, relationship management, account management
- Experience with fundraising is a plus
- You are a networker with a natural ability to connect with people
- You easily make contact at various levels, build lasting relationships, and know how to connect people to a social cause
- You are entrepreneurial, independent, and eager to get things done
- You are a team player and enjoy working with colleagues, volunteers, board members, and business relations
- You preferably live within a 30-minute travel time from the location, partly due to on-call duty
