Allowance Affairs Consultant
The activities are carried out within a temporary desk of a municipal organization, a point of contact for residents affected by a specific affair. The current caseload and workload are so significant that temporary specialized expertise is necessary for prompt handling. The goal of this deployment is to support affected families in making a new start and sustainably stabilizing their situation.
The guidance aims to increase their self-reliance, strengthen trust in institutions, and structurally improve their financial and social position.
What you will do.
- Build a relationship of trust through motivational interviewing and clear and honest communication
- Inventory which areas of life require additional support, including care (e.g., Wmo), youth and family, income and participation
- Provide and coordinate tailored help and services
- Conduct case management throughout the entire support process
- Identify underlying, including psychosocial, problems and act appropriately
- Support with financial problems and issues related to debt counseling
- Mediate and coordinate with the Tax Authorities, municipal departments, and other involved institutions
- Collaborate and coordinate with fellow aid and service providers
- Implement and/or organize appropriate customized provisions, even if they fall outside regular frameworks
- Ensure complete and adequate reports and punctual administration
- Participate in regular work meetings
- Report to the client or a supervisor
Profile
As a case manager, you guide parents and children affected by the affair. The professional independently manages the case and collaborates closely with fellow aid and service providers and other involved parties throughout the support. Coordination takes place based on the wishes and needs of the affected parent and the support required within the various areas of life.
What they ask
- Minimum of 3 years demonstrable work experience in the past 7 years as a case manager, consultant, and/or similar function within the social domain of a municipality
- Demonstrable work experience in guiding residents with financial and/or multi-problem situations, where support has been provided in multiple areas of life
- Demonstrable work experience with debt counseling and/or guiding residents with debt problems
Preferences.
- Minimum of 2 years demonstrable work experience as a consultant in the context of broad support for the allowance affair at a municipality
- Demonstrable work experience with stress-sensitive service provision on topics such as psychosocial problems, financial and/or multi-problem situations
- Demonstrable work experience with Suite for Social Domain
- Demonstrable work experience with case management involving collaboration with multiple municipal departments and external aid and service providers around a single case
- Demonstrable knowledge of the local social map

- Planning and organizing: knows how to set priorities, maintain an overview of a large caseload, and ensure timely follow-up, reporting, and administrative recording
