The Medical Information Management department plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of digital information provision within a healthcare organization. It is a complex, dynamic, and meaningful environment important for delivering good and continuous care. The department consists of four sections: information and data management, functional administration & support, information security & privacy protection, and project & portfolio management.
Together, they implement integrated information provision for the medical chain, optimally supporting data registration, exchange, and analysis. The functional administration & support section is responsible for the operational support of information provisions, including operational support for handling needs and maintaining generic IT/IV facilities, as well as the development and functional administration of business-critical applications.
What you do
- Ensure that digital information provision remains functional, user-friendly, and aligns with the needs of healthcare professionals.
- Functionally manage and improve EPD systems (e.g., HiX) for various healthcare institutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for user questions, incidents, and change requests related to the EPD system.
- Guide healthcare professionals in proper use of the EPD system and translate user wishes into concrete adjustments or improvements.
- Support projects in setting up, testing, and implementing new EPD system implementations and functional enhancements.
What they ask
- HBO working and thinking level, with at least a completed MBO education, preferably in healthcare, ICT, or information management.
- Current knowledge and several years of experience as a functional administrator or application administrator (e.g., HiX).
- Knowledge and experience with blood management and laboratory information systems (BBIS/LIS) is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of BiSL, ITIL, or other management standards is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a solution-oriented attitude.
- Affinity with the context of a public sector organization.
