The core business of an organization is the design and construction of complete industrial fluid handling installations. They are looking for a Project Engineer / Project Manager Process Equipment & Piping.
What you will do. In this role, you will combine your mechanical/electromechanical knowledge of process installations with project management. You will regularly design process designs and P&IDs.
- You analyze the client's request based on RFQs or other information.
- You define a solution, establishing a clear scope, project approach, and cost estimate.
- You assemble a project team, for example, with a designer/drafter, a construction engineer.
- You ensure that you and your team deliver correct P&IDs, 3D diagrams, and a clear project plan, which you will review with the client.
- You organize kick-off and follow-up meetings on-site with the client.
- You monitor costs (working hours & materials) during project execution.
- You are responsible for a documented and qualified delivery of the process installation (IQ, OQ and/or PQ).
- You follow up on invoicing and payments throughout the project.
- You perform a post-calculation and discuss "lessons learned" with the team.
- You report to the Operations Manager.
Profile
- A bachelor's or master's degree in industrial sciences / industrial engineer / bio-engineer.
- A solid foundation as a process engineer in the food or pharmaceutical industry, preferably supplemented with experience in project management (planning and budget management).
- Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- You enjoy taking a leading role, where you can express your proactivity and positive attitude.
- Experience with process design and knowledge of pumps/valves/instrumentation.
- Knowledge of piping and construction is a plus.
- You speak Dutch and English.
