You will work within a Legal Affairs team consisting of legal advisors, a senior legal advisor, administrative support, and a team leader.

What you will do.
- Advise the board, management, and colleagues on various legal issues, with an emphasis on administrative law and private law.
- Provide legal advice on projects, agreements, and decision-making, identifying legal risks and proposing appropriate solutions.
- Draft, review, and update legal documents, agreements, ordinances, and policy rules.
- Guide and handle objection, complaint, and appeal procedures.
- Handle Woo requests from application to the drafting of the Woo decision and the provision of information.
- Translate new and existing legislation and regulations into the daily practice of the water board.
- Monitor legal developments, translate what they mean for the organization, and share relevant knowledge with colleagues.
- Contribute to the further development of legal quality and awareness within the organization.
Profile
You are an important legal sparring partner for the board, management, and colleagues within the organization. You ensure that important decisions and developments are legally sound and lawful. You navigate a broad field: from administrative law issues and objection and appeal procedures to agreements, projects, and Woo requests. You proactively and independently tackle legal issues and provide solicited and unsolicited advice. In doing so, you look beyond just the legal rules.
You understand what is happening within a water board, identify risks, and know how to translate legal frameworks into practical solutions. This way, you help colleagues make good decisions and contribute to a reliable government. You can switch between different levels, from board members, colleagues, and the outside world. You ensure that people remain in dialogue and reach solutions. You dare to make decisions, even if they are complex or evoke resistance.
You do not get stuck in theoretical solutions but ensure that legal advice is actually converted into actions. You are a proactive and effective Legal Advisor. You can switch quickly and act effectively on legal issues. You enjoy working together and ensure a good connection.

- Demonstrably completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level in law.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience as a legal advisor.
- Demonstrable work experience with handling and/or guiding objection and appeal procedures.
- Demonstrable work experience with independently advising the board, management, and/or employees on legal issues.
- Demonstrable current knowledge and work experience in the field of administrative law and/or private law.
Wishes.
