Spatial Development Planning Economist

The assignment has a temporary and results-oriented nature, focusing on updating, managing, and financially controlling municipal land exploitations. You will support the planning and control cycle and advise on planning economic issues within area developments. You will actively contribute to the financial substantiation of spatial developments and support project teams, management, and the board in decision-making.

Additionally, you will contribute to the further improvement and professionalization of working methods, processes, and products within the field of planning economics.

What you do

  • Manage and update municipal land exploitations
  • Prepare financial analyses for area developments
  • Prepare Multi-Year Forecasts for Land Exploitations (MPG)
  • Prepare parameter notes and other financial accountability documents
  • Support the planning and control cycle
  • Conduct feasibility studies and scenario analyses
  • Conduct risk analyses
  • Advise on cost recovery and financial feasibility
  • Support negotiations with developers and market parties
  • Advise on financial aspects of spatial developments
  • Advise on improving processes, products, and working methods within the field of planning economics
  • Act as a financial and planning economic sparring partner for project leaders, management, and the board

What they ask

  • Demonstrable completed HBO bachelor's degree or equivalent in real estate, planning economics, economics, business administration, and/or directly comparable education
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrable work experience in the role of planning economist and/or financial advisor in area development
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience within a municipal organization
  • Demonstrable work experience with municipal land exploitations
  • Demonstrable work experience with preparing multi-year forecasts for land exploitations (MPGs) and/or financial accountability documents
  • Candidate agrees to the stated secondment conditions
