As an Assistant Store Manager, you are a natural leader on the shop floor and motivate colleagues to get the best out of themselves. You ensure that commercial opportunities are optimally utilized. Together with the Store Manager, you are responsible for achieving sales targets, coaching the team, and ensuring a premium appearance of the store. When the Store Manager is absent, you effortlessly take the lead, monitor daily operations, and direct colleagues.
What you will do.
- Coach, guide, and motivate the store team
- Actively contribute to achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Serve as an example in terms of service, hospitality, and commercial action
- Support staff planning, inventory management, and store processes
- Ensure a premium store presentation according to brand guidelines
- Be the first point of contact for colleagues when the Store Manager is absent
- Advise national and international customers on the purchase of their product
- Manage repairs, after-sales, and customer service processes
- Identify commercial opportunities and proactively respond to them
Profile
We are looking for an experienced retail professional who combines leadership with a strong commercial drive. Someone who gets energy from achieving results, likes to take responsibility, and knows how to involve others in their enthusiasm.
- MBO+ (vocational education) working and thinking level
- Demonstrable experience as an assistant store manager, team leader, or similar leadership position within retail
- Strong commercial mindset and proven sales skills
- Experience in coaching and developing employees
- Proactive, independent
- Results-oriented without losing sight of the customer experience
- Strong communication skills
- Representative and professional appearance
- Flexible deployment
- Good command of Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus
