Legal Advisor Administrative Law and Traffic Law

The contractor independently handles objections and appeals concerning traffic decisions and provides first-line legal advice on traffic law cases. The activities are carried out for a government organization.

What you will do.

• Independently handle objection and appeal cases related to traffic decisions, including the establishment of blue zones, designation of disabled parking spaces, rejections of exemptions for car-free areas or blue zones, installation of charging stations, entry bans, and other traffic decisions.
• Draft statements of defense, procedural documents, and legal advice for objection and appeal procedures.
• Represent the board during hearings before the objection committee and the court.
• Provide legal advice on traffic law cases and the assessment of applications.
• Issue legal advice based on questions raised during consultations with the Traffic and Enforcement Teams.
• Assess complex traffic decisions and propose improvements.
• Legally review outgoing correspondence within the traffic domain.
• Perform legal checks on policy documents, implementation rules, and board proposals affecting the department.

What they ask

• Minimum 5 years of demonstrable work experience as a legal advisor in administrative law.
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience as a legal advisor in traffic law.
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience representing a government organization before the objection committee and courts.
• A demonstrable completed HBO bachelor's degree in law.

Preferences.

• A demonstrable completed university (WO) bachelor's degree in law.
• More than 7 years of work experience as a legal advisor in administrative law.
• More than 5 years of work experience representing a government organization before the objection committee and courts.
• More than 5 years of work experience within a government organization.
