Network Coordinator

As a Regional Coordinator, you will take on a school- and region-oriented process role. You will be the driving force behind the process guidance for schools in the region concerning school dropout. Your core tasks include:

• Guiding schools in a functional team
• You facilitate the start-up of a functional team at the school or strengthen existing structures within selected priority schools
• You bring together management, care coordinators/student counselors, CLB (Centre for Student Guidance), pedagogical support services, and possibly other actors around themes related to early school leaving, such as attendance policy, a connecting school climate
• You go through a process with this functional team: you guide the intake interview, assist with SWOT analysis and data analysis, and support the thought process to arrive at an action plan. You monitor the implementation of this plan, the process, and its safeguarding. Ownership always remains with the school; your role is supportive and facilitating
• Data-driven analysis and action planning
• You support schools and CLBs in analyzing school and context data (absences, SES indicators, disciplinary issues, other peripheral signals)
• You help translate this data into concrete, feasible action plans tailored to the school context
• You formulate policy advice on how to tackle school dropout
• Deployment of modular support offerings
• You introduce and advise on linked support modules and materials tailored to the needs of the functional team
• Giving a local training or keynote yourself is among the possibilities
• You collect feedback and practical experiences to continuously enrich the offerings and the website
• Partner alignment & local network formation
• You keep abreast of relevant local networks and put the topic of school dropout on the agenda where appropriate
• Consultative work & Professionalization
• You offer consultative support (advice, referral to the website, explanation of modules) to schools and (educational) partners with questions about school dropout
• You coordinate the cross-network operation of the professional learning communities of the CLBs regarding school dropout in your region
• Intervisions with fellow coordinators from other regions to share knowledge and sharpen your expertise
