As a Mechanical Work Preparer, you will manage building-related installations in utility projects, from intake to handover. You will structure work packages, work instructions, TRA's (Task Risk Analyses), and work permits, keep schedules in SAP up-to-date, and prevent failure costs during execution.
The technical core involves strict coordination of mechanical installations with a focus on safety, quality, scope, and contractual agreements, ensuring the execution team can work with maximum availability and efficiency. You will work for an installer in utility construction and industry, specializing in building-related installations and industrial automation solutions.
The organization designs, realizes, manages, and maintains installations with a focus on sustainability, digitalization, and integrated installation technology. Work is carried out in multidisciplinary teams involving mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and construction, where you will collaborate closely from engineering and work preparation to execution, in accordance with current laws and regulations for reliable, efficient, and safe processes.
What you do
- Coordinate the preparation of mechanical engineering activities for building-related installations from intake to handover for execution
- Prepare work packages, work instructions, TRA's, and work permits
- Inform the project team with up-to-date drawings, specifications, and revision documentation
- Create and maintain schedules and process data in SAP
- Request and compare quotations
- Maintain contact with suppliers
- Coordinate execution and details with the client
- Prepare calculations and quotations to substantiate scope and contractual agreements
- Monitor progress and adjust based on time, costs, quality
- Identify risks and intervene directly in case of operational and contractual deviations
- Report to management on progress, results, and project control
What they ask
- MBO level 3/4 diploma in mechanical engineering or installation technology
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the (petro)chemical industry or a comparable technical environment
- Demonstrable knowledge of materials, calculations, work documents, schedules
- Experience with coordinating and preparing mechanical engineering activities, installation technology, and industrial automation
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations, work permits
- Ability to work accurately, think ahead, and maintain an overview
- Proactive and structured work style
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams
