Reporting Supervisor

As a supervisor, you will delve into current and complex issues in the field of financial and sustainability reporting. You will assess how listed companies report on their financial performance, risks, and sustainability. You will analyze issues, including the correct application of IFRS and ESRS, and engage in discussions with companies about them. You will also maintain contacts with accountants and other stakeholders. This role offers a unique combination of in-depth content, societal relevance, and topicality.

New reporting standards, sustainability reporting, and changing regulations ensure that the field is constantly evolving. You will work on complex investigations, collaborating with highly experienced colleagues in the field of reporting. Additionally, you will play an active role in the further development of supervision, including innovative applications of data and AI. In this way, you will make a direct contribution to the quality of supervision and to confidence in the financial markets.

What you will do.

  • Assess financial and sustainability reporting of listed companies, against IFRS and ESRS.
  • Investigate complex reporting issues and the application of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thematic investigations into current reporting themes such as cash flow statements, IFRS 18, and new ESRS standards.
  • Hold substantive discussions with CFOs of listed companies and other stakeholders.
  • Identify relevant developments and translate them into effective and future-oriented supervision.
  • Contribute to the further development of supervisory methodologies, including innovative applications of data and AI.

Profile

  • A completed university education
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS and/or ESRS. If your expertise lies primarily in ESRS, you also have a solid foundation in IFRS.
  • Being a registered accountant (RA title) is a plus.
  • Analytical thinking: you quickly grasp complex dossiers and can distinguish main from secondary issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and effective in dealing with resistance.
  • Curiosity: you ask questions, investigate, and are driven to gain new insights.
  • Ownership: you take responsibility for your activities and ensure proactive execution.
