Knowledge Management Advisor
As an expert group director, you will work within the knowledge infrastructure of an organization and a consortium. You will make a substantive and directing contribution to the functioning of expert groups. Expert groups are collaborations of professionals and experts by experience who work on developing, bundling, and applying knowledge within a knowledge area. The core of your role is to ensure that expert groups achieve reliable, substantively correct, and applicable knowledge results.
You ensure that knowledge development can actually be used in the practice of care, education, and rehabilitation. In doing so, you connect strategy, policy, and knowledge development with the daily practice of professionals. Additionally, you ensure that collaboration with the consortium partners takes shape within the expert groups. You operate as an advisor, director, and sparring partner.
Together with the ambassadors and the chairs of the expert groups, you actively promote the knowledge areas within the organization.
What you do
- Translate the organizational strategy, domain goals, and knowledge agendas into concrete work plans, budgets, and intended knowledge results.
- Specifically steer towards delivering reliable, usable, and practically applicable knowledge.
- Stimulate working according to the principles of the knowledge cycle.
- Direct the functioning of expert groups together with the chair and ambassador.
- Safeguard different perspectives, including experiential expertise, in knowledge work.
- Monitor progress, quality, coherence, and use of time and resources. Report on results and progress within the planning and control cycle.
- Identify bottlenecks and propose adjustments to the direction or working method of expert groups.
- Contribute to the coherence of knowledge activities within the total knowledge infrastructure of the organization and within the partnership.
Profile
You are a solid and driven advisor who takes responsibility for quality and results. You recognize yourself in the following:
- A completed (post) HBO education in knowledge management, communication, or organizational science, supplemented with a minimum of three years of experience as an operational/tactical advisor and demonstrable experience with knowledge work.
- You translate strategy and policy into concrete goals and results and manage content and process, with an eye for collaboration, coherence, and progress.
- You work analytically, systematically, and results-oriented: you oversee complex issues from multiple angles, identify developments and bottlenecks, and convert them into concrete plans and reports.
- You possess strong advisory and communication skills and know how to connect different interests and perspectives; you communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
- You take initiative and feel responsible for the end result.
- You work professionally and reliably: you monitor quality and process, work with pace and perseverance, adopt a coaching approach towards expert group members, and act representatively in internal and external contacts.
