Communications Officer
As a communications officer at a government organization, you will make complex information understandable and coordinate, organize, and create communication tools and events. You maintain an overview, liaise with all stakeholders, and ensure everything is correct, from preparation to execution. The focus is on organizing, executing, and coordinating communication activities. Additionally, you advise and facilitate internal clients on communication issues within projects.
What you do
- You advise and support communication advisors and project teams on communication issues.
- You are primarily involved in arranging and realizing the necessary communication tools and activities (traffic work).
- You contribute ideas about the communication products and activities to be used and identify opportunities and bottlenecks.
- You ensure uniformity and quality of the communication tools and activities to be deployed and perform supporting communication tasks.
- You maintain contacts within the organization and with suppliers.
- You manage and optimize the corporate identity.
- You are responsible for second-line public information.
- You handle the organization and (process) coordination, including drafting roadmaps for (corporate) events, procurement of communication products and activities.
- This includes co-organizing a large staff party and employee meetings (digital) and management meetings (physical and digital).
Profile
- Completed HBO level education in communication or journalism.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
- Experience within government, the public sector, or a comparable administrative environment.
- Accustomed to working in a dynamic organization where priorities can change quickly.
- Able to handle pressure from various stakeholders and maintain professional conduct.
- Flexible, quick to adapt, and able to bring structure to a hectic work environment.
