Development of next-generation battery diagnostics for large-scale energy storage.

What you will do.
- Develop impedance-based and data-driven methods for advanced battery health assessment.
- Investigate their integration into battery energy storage systems.
- Bridge battery diagnostics, artificial intelligence, and power electronics.
- Work within a research group focused on energy storage, DC systems, power electronics, electric mobility, and renewable energy integration.
What they ask
- PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a well-established university.
- Solid background in battery management systems, battery ageing, battery diagnostics, and power electronics.
- Experience with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) or other frequency-domain battery characterisation techniques.
- Experience with experimental battery testing and analysis of measurement data.
- Experience with scientific programming and data analysis using Python, MATLAB or comparable tools.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
