Sports Field Manager

• Acts as the link between sports clubs, contractors, suppliers, management foundations, and the administrative apparatus of a public organization.
• Ensures process monitoring, coordination, and good interaction between the mentioned parties.
• Advises, if necessary, political stakeholders.
• Responsible for the construction and renovation of outdoor sports facilities and the management of the provisions thereon.
• Prepares and directs the execution of technical works on outdoor sports facilities.
• Responsible for managing sports budgets.
• Co-drafts and updates the multi-year plan for renovations and replacements.
• Provides data for the P&C cycle.
• Contributes to the sustainability and optimization of the management of the facilities and the facilities themselves.
• Co-responsible for tender processes.
• Provides professional input for policy advice.
• Contributes to the drafting of rental contracts.
• Monitors compliance with contracts.

• The sports field manager is part of a team within the organization.
• This is a one-person function within the organization.
• The work area consists of several municipalities, with 16 outdoor sports facilities, including:
• 34 sports clubs with over 10,000 members.
• 10 different sports.
• 50 natural grass sports fields.
• 9 artificial turf football fields and 8 artificial turf hockey fields.
• 2 athletics tracks.
• Other fields/tracks such as pétanque courts, beach volleyball courts, and mountain bike trails.
• Other facilities such as fences, green areas, light poles, and other technical facilities.

• HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
• Demonstrable experience in a comparable management role within the public space or sports sector, preferably within a municipal government organization.

• Knowledge of management, maintenance, and construction of both natural grass and artificial turf fields, sports technical facilities, and associated laws and regulations.
