This assignment is ideal for veterinarians who are energized by evening, night, and weekend shifts and deliberately choose emergency care outside office hours. There is flexibility in the number of shifts to work, from a few per month to a structural commitment. The locations of the animal care organization together form one of the largest referral and emergency centers in the Southwest Netherlands, where high-quality veterinary care is provided 24/7.
You will work intensively with experienced colleagues and specialists and have access to modern facilities.
What you will do. During evening, night, and weekend shifts, you will be responsible, together with an experienced team, for the reception and treatment of emergency patients.
- Receive, stabilize, and treat emergency patients (first and second line).
- Guide and monitor hospitalized patients in the intensive care unit.
- Consult with specialists and colleagues to provide the best possible care to each patient.
- Maintain contact with referring veterinarians and owners.
