You will join a team of data specialists, consisting of GIS specialists, data engineers, a data manager, and data analysts.
- You will work on a broader, sustainable foundation for data-driven insights within a municipal organization.
- You will work on a new data platform and become familiar with Agile working methods.
- You will contribute to a data-driven organization, where your information products form the basis for policy.
What you will do.
- Analyze data, uncover patterns, and discover the real question behind the request.
- Create information products such as dashboards, reports, and visualizations to share insights.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, data-driven working advisors, and fellow analysts.
- Maintain direct contact with clients to understand their actual needs.
- Perform data processing and visualize data collected and transformed by data engineers.
- Teach users how to use information products.
Profile
- Strong analytical skills and accuracy: noticing patterns, not missing details, and taking the time to thoroughly understand, while never losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Excellent communication skills, both with technical colleagues and policy officers.
- Able to translate complex insights into clear stories (storytelling).
- Proactive and takes initiative.
- Eager to learn and adaptable in a rapidly developing environment.
- Affinity with societal issues.
- Excellent command of the Dutch language (minimum C1 level).
What they ask
- HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Information Science, or Computer Science).
- Demonstrable experience with visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Experience applying storytelling in data presentations.
- Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python and SQL.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum working methods and data-driven practices.
- Basic knowledge of AI applications within the data field.
Practical
- A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is required.
