Test Engineer

Working for a government organization that is constantly evolving.
- You will be part of a professional group that forms your professional home base.
- The work follows the T-shaped principle: testing is your main expertise, but you will (eventually) be more broadly deployable.
- Preference for a candidate who, in addition to Test Engineer activities, can adapt functional designs to the latest release or is willing to learn this.
- You will be deployed in one of the teams focused on developing a national standard for skills in professions and education, or on the management and further development of channel-supporting applications and an employment mediation database.
- This implementation is organization-wide at both technical and organizational levels.
- The system is central to the organization's services, primarily focusing on matching job seekers (CV & competence) and employers (vacancy & competence).
- The project will replace the current 'matching' system with the new one.
What you do
- Provide input for and co-determine the requirements/specifications for the product to be developed.
- Review the (overall) test strategy for the applicability of IT systems and discuss comments with the Test Manager.
- Review the test plan for applicability and discuss comments with the Test Manager.
- Translate the approach in the test plan into logical and physical test cases.
- Draw up and review test specifications.
- Create and execute test scripts.
- Provide input for risk analyses, substantiate them, and discuss them with relevant team members.
- Determine which tests can be automated and argue where this is not desirable.
- Set up and maintain automated and non-automated tests.
- Test (new) software and check, analyze, investigate, and document test results.
- Determine if the quality of the product in relation to the requirements is sufficient from the tester's perspective and advise the team on this.
- Deliver demos to the client.

Profile
- HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the testing field.
- Knowledge of Test Process Improvement (TPI), Test Specification Techniques, and Test Management Methodology (TMAP).
- TMAP Professional advanced certification.
- Knowledge of Postman.
- Knowledge of Python.
- Knowledge of test automation (Robotframework, Playwright).
- Experience testing software running on an MCPaaS environment.
- Working with GIT.
- Knowledge of Openshift, ArgoCD, and Azure.
- Knowledge of linked data (plus).
- Knowledge of Java.
- Knowledge of Functional Design (plus).
- C1 level Dutch required.
