What you do
As a chef, you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of dishes and meal components. You will work under the guidance of the head chef or owner but can also independently manage the kitchen when needed. Additionally, you will collaborate with fellow chefs and, if required, supervise kitchen assistants. You will follow established guidelines regarding ingredients, recipes, working methods, and visual presentation.
- Selecting and preparing (washing, cutting, mixing, etc.)
- Conducting intermediate checks (doneness, taste, color, etc.) and making adjustments as needed
- Ensuring consistent quality and hygiene
- Supervising the work of kitchen assistants and making corrections where necessary
- Keeping track of stock levels, ordering ingredients, and checking deliveries
- Daily cleaning of the work environment, kitchen equipment
- Reporting technical faults and resolving minor issues
- Providing input regarding the composition and adjustments of menus, the menu list, and working methods

- You work with conviction and dare to take responsibility
- MBO-3 work and thinking level (If you don't meet the requirements, apply anyway!)
- Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
