Project Manager D365 F&O

GelderlandHybrid35 hours/week<3months

An organization is consolidating the supply chain and finance processes of its market groups onto a single future-proof ERP platform. By phasing out legacy systems, we are creating clearer processes, more reliable data, and a stronger foundation for further growth and future AI capabilities. The direction and roadmap are established. As an ERP Project Manager, you will bring structure and seniority to a complex change program where processes, data, technology, and various stakeholders converge.

You will be a strong sparring partner for experienced professionals and leadership.

What you will do.

  • You will translate the existing roadmap into a clear delivery rhythm, with concrete priorities, milestones, and follow-up - and timely signal when assumptions, sequencing, or planning need to be adjusted.
  • You will ensure that open choices and bottlenecks reach the right people, take action where necessary, and guide these topics effectively towards the Steering Committee.
  • You will make progress, dependencies, risks, bottlenecks, and trade-offs visible and drive towards the agreed-upon result.
  • You will bring together Finance, Operations, key users, IT, a technology partner, integration partners, and external logistics and warehousing parties around shared progress.
  • You will work with business owners on optimization opportunities and ensure that process choices and customizations contribute to customer value within the standard of D365 F&O.
  • You will help the team stay focused on the results that matter, ensure that dependencies, risks, and open choices receive the necessary attention, and lead decision-making and escalations to the Steering Committee.
  • You will critically review the existing roadmap and assumptions and, if necessary, propose a change of course.
  • You will translate priorities into concrete next steps, make progress visible, and drive results.

What they are looking for.

  • 10+ years of experience in leading complex ERP implementations or transitions, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), in a role where you have also managed senior stakeholders and decision-making.
  • Experience in guiding an existing ERP roadmap or implementation program through a critical execution phase, including identifying risks and proposing justified course corrections when necessary.
  • Experience in structuring planning, dependencies, risks, bottlenecks, and decision-making across multiple workstreams, with clear escalation to governance when decisions fall outside your mandate.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders in a complex environment with business, IT, implementation partners, and external integration parties.
  • Sufficient technical and architectural affinity to recognize risks and unnecessary customizations, constructively challenge them, and, together with ERP specialists and partners, drive customer value within the standard of F&O.
  • You are energized by creating overview and progress in complex programs and are a senior sparring partner for business and IT.
  • You understand the correlation between business processes, data, and technology, without needing to be the technical or functional specialist yourself.
  • You ask the right questions, dare to constructively challenge existing assumptions, and help people move from discussion to decision and execution.
  • You drive for results, but also at a pace that the team and the organization can handle.

Profiel

You will work within IT General, together with experienced ERP professionals and colleagues from across the organization. The team already possesses the necessary ERP expertise; your added value lies in senior project leadership: creating clarity, focus, and follow-up, connecting people, and humanely guiding the team through a critical execution phase.

You will work closely with business owners, leadership, key users, a technology partner, integration partners, and external parties connected to the organization's processes and systems. The CFO is the client; the Steering Committee consists of the CEO, CFO, IT Manager, and ERP implementation partner. You have the mandate for daily content progress, team management, and organizing the execution.

Course changes, planning and budget, and choices regarding process changes or custom investment will be brought to the Steering Committee. You will be given space to shape your approach and are expected to escalate and take action when progress demands it.
