An orthopedagogical center offers support to children, young people, and adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism and their families. The service aims for continuous improvement of clients' quality of life in a homely atmosphere. A specific department within the organization assists adults with disabilities, psychological vulnerabilities, or a combination, in various life domains within their home context. A new colleague is sought for this rapidly growing team.
What you do
- Coaching clients in their living context across various life domains: psychosocial, administrative, medical, housing, daily activities, leisure, social network.
- Responsible for discussing and drafting the individual service agreement (IDO).
- Setting concrete goals based on the individual support plan and following up on them.
- Establishing contacts with other involved caregivers based on knowledge of the social map, always in consultation with the client.
- Contributing to good cooperation with all stakeholders (e.g., family, internal and external services, administrator) and coordinating the support offer.
- Responsible for reporting all facets of the support.
- Contributing to good teamwork and continuity of service.
What they ask
- Pedagogical or paramedical bachelor's degree.
- Experience in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and individuals with ASD.
- Client-oriented, independent, conscientious, and enterprising.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Communicative and able to establish contacts easily.
- Willingness to travel for assignments and flexibility with the work schedule for on-call duty.
- Willingness to work evenings depending on client needs.
- Proficient with PC: internet, e-mail, and Office applications.
- In possession of a type B driving license.
Practical
- Team meetings take place at the organization's main office.
- For travel, own transport or an electric work bike can be used.
